Habitat loss
The Saola lives in very special forests in the mountains, but these forests are being cut down to make farms, roads, or for wood. This means the Saola loses its home and where it finds its food, making it harder for them to survive.
Being done about itScientists and conservation groups are working hard to protect these precious forests, creating special safe areas called national parks where the Saola's home can stay untouched.
