Pollution
Grey Crowned Cranes often live near farms and wetlands, where chemicals from pesticides and fertilizers can wash into their water. This pollution makes their food and water unsafe, sometimes even making the cranes very sick.
Being done about itScientists are working with farmers to use fewer harmful chemicals, and communities are organizing clean-up days to remove trash from crane habitats. This helps keep the cranes' homes sparkling clean and safe to drink from.
