Habitat loss
Snow leopards live high up in rocky, cold mountains, but as people build more roads, towns, and farms, there's less wild space for these cats to hunt and live. This means their homes are shrinking, making it harder for them to find food and raise their cubs safely.
Being done about itScientists and rangers are working hard to create large protected areas in the mountains where snow leopards can live without disturbance. They also help local communities find ways to live and farm without destroying the leopards' precious habitat.
